Question by wilsoac1: Pet Urns??
Where is a good place to find pet urns? I lost my beloved Rottie Friday and had him cremated. Finding the right urn is stressing me out. Thank you!

I got mine from the company who cremated my dog. If you didnt then any nice container will do. Find one you really like and place your dogs ashes into it.

Usually you can buy them at the same place you got him cremated. :(
I’m so sorry for your loss. I know how you feel.

  2. no clue says:

put in search on the web. it should have plenty of pet supply listings. go to several different sites offered from the search, you’ll have styles to choose from.

Pet Cremation.?

Question by Flick: Pet Cremation.?
OK, my beloved Coco died, aged 11, in her favourite place on my bed tonight. She clearly went in her sleep as she was curled up as usual on her special pillow and blanket, nect to my pillow so I am confident she did not suffer. It is a great shock to me as she has survived two clashes with a car and seemed in perfect health. I must have found her minutes after she died and my son tells me that she had been eating and her usual kittenish self only a couple of hours before.

I cannot bear the idea of putting her in the ground and do not have the funds to turn her into a diamond as I would like. Does anyone know how much a vet in Staffordshire would charge for cremation? This has come at a particularly bad time as my mother has been in hospital for three weeks (2 in intensive care) with Viral Encephalitis, 2 Heart Attacks and a Heart Infection. Losing my beloved cat, who has been with me since she was born, is a tremendous blow as she has been with me through divorce, depression etc.:-(

check with local funeral homes( you never know, someone may have had the request before and could point you in the right direction).

Oh I’m sorry. My cat died suddenly in her sleep too without having been ill, it’s the worst shock.

Give a vet a ring and ask how much they charge for cat cremation. Prices do vary quite a bit. At mine we charge about £50 but I’m in the southeast of England and my practice isn’t one of the cheaper ones, you’ll probably find some charge a lot more and some a lot less. They will tell you their prices in a jiffy.

Just so you know – the majority of people do have their pets cremated, and the services offered are usually very good i.e. your pet will be treated well. The crematorium we use scatter all ashes in their gardens of remembrance and people come to visit them and can see the places their pets were scattered by year. You can also choose to have their ashes returned to you, at significant extra expense of course.

You can either contact a pet crematory directly or through a veterinarian, as we did. They held her, until turning her over to the creamator. Her ashes were back in a box to us in a week…cost under $ 70. US, if I remember correctly.
