  1. I Want the Answer says:

Six Flags Great America (in Gurnee IL) will have longer lines than Noah’s Ark. However, sometimes you just have to wait for the best things in life. The rides at Six Flags are far better than those at Noah’s Ark.

I have a season pass to Six Flags and have visited six times this summer. Here’s a plan that I use to get on the most rides with the shortest waits possible. Note that this plan requires you to arrive at the park about 15 minutes before the scheduled opening time (normally it’s 10 AM).

    1. Once the park opens, turn right at the Carousel and ride Superman: Ultimate Flight.
    2. Continue walking around the park and ride Batman: The Ride.
    3. After Batman, walk a little further and ride Vertical Velocity.
    4. Keep walking around the park until you see the entrance to American Eagle and ride it.
    4. Continue walking around the park until you see the sign for Southwest Territory. In the Southwest Territory, ride the Raging Bull.
    5. Ride Giant Drop.
    6. Ride the Viper (it’s on the other side of Southwest Territory).
    7. Exit the Southwest Territory and ride the Demon roller coaster.
    8. After the Demon, ride Iron Wolf.
    9. Now feel free to go to any other attractions you may have missed.

I know that my plan includes a lot of walking and backtracking, but trust me, it will save you a bunch of time! The most important part of the plan is that you ride Superman right when the park opens and then proceed to Batman and Vertical Velocity.

I hope I could help, and have fun at Six Flags!
